Ty Burnett - Head Coach

Having honed his skills at national league across Suffolk and East London in addition to years of local league and multiple 3x3 tournaments, Ty brings a wealth of playing experience to the table. As a Level 2 qualified basketball coach, he is committed to nurturing talent and fostering a love for the sport at all levels.

Ty's youth coaching journey extends far and wide, having assisted with national coaching and leading county coaching. Additionally, he coaches a Division 1 men's local league team, where he led them to the final of a competitive division having had 0 wins in the season prior to his arrival. 

Beyond the court, Ty holds Qualified Teacher Status, amplifying his ability to mentor and educate aspiring athletes. His sports coach experience in schools across Ipswich underscores his commitment to holistic development, instilling values of discipline, teamwork, and resilience in the next generation of players.

Stuart Lee - Assistant Coach

With over 30 years of playing basketball, Stuart brings a wealth of experience and knowledge. Having been involved in basketball since his very early teens, Stuart has seen the game evolve over the years and has learnt to adapt and evolve to remain competitive and relevant in the sport.

He was instrumental in starting a team in local league basketball and then growing that into a successful club currently with 3 teams. The club is a mixed adults club and now includes some junior players and is still growing.

As a qualified Level 2 Coach, Stuart not only coaches the 3 teams at his local league club, but has coached youth teams at a county level and continues to remain involved in all aspects of the sport, even making an appearance as a player for GB over 40’s in a tournament last year.

Emily Kenny - Club Secretary and Treasurer

Emily is our Club Secretary and Treasurer. Emily is a qualified Educational Psychologist with qualified teaching status. With a Doctorate in Educational Psychology, Emily brings a deep understanding of child development and mental wellbeing to the club. Although Emily does not play basketball, her passion for the sport shines through in her commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for players of all ages.
